Bio

Maine-based singer/songwriter Anna Pillsbury was born into a musical family. She wrote her first song at the age of four and continued to explore music throughout school, where she sang in the chorus and learned to play a variety of instruments including flute, piccolo, and saxophone. It wasn't until she started a band with one of her best friends at the age of 17, however, that she picked up the guitar.

Learning guitar (and later ukulele and piano) opened up a whole new world of songwriting for Anna. And it just so happened to coincide with one of life's most liberating and devastating experiences- that of "first love".

With songwriting as her outlet, Anna has written hundreds of songs, starred in her own local TV show featuring her music, gathered an audience of fans spanning the globe, and racked up more than 100,000 views on her online Youtube music channel.  Anna's music draws inspiration from folk and pop genres (think Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson) and gives listeners an authentic snapshot into her life while showcasing her wit, honesty, and playful sense of humor. She is currently in the process of recording her first official EP which will feature some of her most popular songs about love, loss, and life she has written over the past ten years.
